Cobble Hill

What began as a completely vacant and highly exposed rooftop, became a refuge for people and pollinators alike. The addition of an expansive Wisteria-covered pergola created much-needed protection from the sun and sits above a full outdoor kitchen, bar and lounge area. The fountain is central to the garden and serves as both a wind break and a screen to obstruct unsightly utilities.

The planting includes sky-high pollinator favorites: Hyssop & Blue Vervain as well as Viburnum, Hydrangea, Sage, Lady’s Mantle, Artemesia, Red Twig Dogwood, and Hardy Geranium. In the evening, subtly placed lighting creates a soft glow and allows for the surrounding skyline to be the star.
